The Thai Sports-Romance BL, ‘Match Point’ Wraps on a Cheerful Note!
The heart-fluttering, sports-romance BL of GMMTV, ‘Match Point’ has bid its goodbye with a bright and delightful conclusion!
The Thai sports-romance BL, ‘Match Point’, came to an end yesterday, on September 27, 2026, after running for ten full weeks. Directed by Chic Sakon Tiacharoen, the same director of GMMTV‘s recently ended bromance series, ‘Mr. Kill’ (2026), the rival falls for rival romance drama series starred, Ping Krittanun Aunchananun and Teshow Promsakha Na Sakonnakhon in the lead, along starring Chai Chartayodom Hiranyasthiti, Am Amarin Nitibhon, Chimon Wachirawit Ruangwiwat, Sing Harit Cheewagaroon and Java Bhobdhama Hansa in key support roles.
Match Point follows the story of two rival families and their sons. Sun, a rank holder junior tennis player, pride of the school, whereas Bay, an art enthusiastic student, winning several competitions, another honour student have one thing in them, and that is rivalry towards one another! Not a single day passes by without one of them pulling the other’s string. The two continuously indulges and devotes themselves into their long-live bickering.
One day Bay joins the Tennis Club on whim to annoy Sun. A match results in Sun losing due to his injury, however an order from principal comes for a rematch, and that’s when the real story starts! Both Sun’s father, Chun and Bay’s father, Bee, agree on a deal to close the family business shop of dim-sum on whoever’s son loses in the match.
Now Sun and Bay carry immense pressure on their shoulders put by their families to win the match. Though fate plays another trick to bring the two closer when Sun and Bay get to know they would not be playing against each other but rather together as double, representing their school.

Previously in Episode 9, we have seen Bay getting thrown out of his house for choosing Sun, and Sun’s father accepting Bay as Sun’s lover. The two start living together in Sun’s house.
The final episode of the series picks right off where it was left in the previous episode with Bay’s mother calling him after his father, Bee storms out of the house in anger. Hearing his father has been missing, Bay rushes to search for him. Along Bay, Sun and Sun’s father Chun also leaves to search for Bee, while Bay’s mother and his brother continue to search for him on the other way.
Drunken Bee gets into a heated argument with local young men resulting in him getting beaten by them. Sun is the first one to reach the spot who tries to push those people off from Bee, in return one of the men charges towards Sun with a wooden tool but it eventually hits Bay around his chest as he pushes Sun out of their way and gets injured.
The next scene opens with Bay confronting his dad for getting into a fight with the men at the restaurant, Chun asks Bay to let that go for now and take rest, seeing the fatherly bond being formed between Chun and his son Bay already, Bee starts with his usual taunts at Chun. Right then Bay’s mother steps into the conversation and threatens her husband to apologise to Chun for everything if he does not want her to divorce him at this age. Both Bay and his brother, Boat, also said they would leave with their mother. Ultimately, the ice in Bee’s heart breaks and he apologises to Chun for all of his wrong doings to him up until now, especially for stealing their dim-sum recipe. Bee also apologises to his sons and the family of four shares a warm embrace together.
Getting back in their room Sun first checks on Bay’s injury and asks if he is alright. Bay tells him not to worry and to go to sleep as the next day is an important day in Sun’s life, his selection tournament day for the national tennis team. Bay also shares his excitement about the next day and ensures Sun that he would win the selection match.
Finally the day of Sun’s long awaited tennis selection tournament for the national team arrives. All the closed ones of Sun go to support him on his big day along with Bay. However Bay collapses right there just before the match is about to begin. Everyone rushes to hospitalize Bay where Doctor informs Bay’s heart rhythms have become irregular due to his recent injury.
Being worried about Bay, Sun at first did not want to leave him there to go for his match. But surprisingly Bee becomes the one to convince Sun to go, reasoning Bay would not like it if he hears Sun has ditched his dream for him being hospitalized.
Eventually the match begins. Initially Sun kept losing score as he was unable to focus on his match, but in the interval Sun recalls a past conversation of him and Bay about Sun’s match, that even if Bay fails to be there beside Sun physically he would still cheer on him.
Ultimately Sun regains his composure and wins the match with a strong score against the opponent, he also receives the news of Bay gaining his consciousness and dashes to the hospital. The first thing Sun does reaching the hospital is hugging Bay and inspecting him to ensure whether he is alright or not, Bay reassures Sun that he is fine now with a big smile on face and expresses his upsetness at being unable to be there on Sun’s match. Sun soothes Bay and tells him not to worry about it as his recovery is more important than anything else.
In the mid half of the episode we see Bay fidgeting about what to choose about staying in the country to be with Sun or following his passion and going to Italy to pursue his dreams. Ultimately with Sun encouraging Bay that they would be the same and he should follow his dream path, Bay decides to go to Italy.
One year passes since Bay left for Italy and Sun being on the national team, various changes come into the life of the two and their family. One big change is Bee and Boat starting and succeeding on their new food business of Pizza, which Chun had advised on whim to Bee seeing Boat’s enthusiasm towards the food.
Later in the episode Bay makes a surprise visit to the country just before Sun’s alumni speech at their school. Having Bay beside him cheers Sun even more which results in Sun giving one of the purest and nicest speeches which gains a lot of positive feedback.
On the other hand, Sun’s wonderful speech also motivates Kong to finally confess his feelings to his long-term crush, Boat. Boat, who also had borne similar feelings for Kong answers Kong following his exact way of confessing but with a super sweet kiss on the cheek.
The final episode concludes with an adorable end-credit scene where Sun and Bay are seen doing their usual sickly-sweet flirting in disguise of their usual bickering.
